In order to comply with HSE legislation, rebar end caps (also known as safety caps or mushroom caps) must be used on all potentially dangerous exposed rebar on site.
Rebar end caps are primarily used to prevent impalement arising from a trip or fall on-site. Exposed rebar is often difficult to spot, and presents an extreme hazard even from what may seem an insignificant trip or fall. Being unaware of unprotected rebar can also lead to damaged plant machinery, equipment or material packaging.
